What is a fabric shaver?

Performance

Pilo No.1 and Pilo No.2 are each equipped with sharp precision razor blades and a powerful motor. Both fabric shavers efficiently shave off lint and pilling and make your old textiles look brand new again, although Pilo No.2 has been enhanced in several areas compared to its predecessor. The second-generation Pilo has three additional razor blades and a larger nozzle that makes it easier to cover a larger surface area in less time.

Charging

Both Pilo fabric shavers are charged using a USB charger, but Pilo No.1 has a USB Mini-B plug on the other end of the charging cord, while Pilo No.2 has been upgraded with a more modern USB-C plug. The charging time has also been improved significantly with the newer model. Pilo No.2 charges twice as fast as Pilo No.1 and can be used for twice as long before charging. In addition, Pilo No.2 can be used while it is charging.

Fuzz container

The size of the container that gathers the fuzz from the shaved textiles also affects the overall efficiency of the fabric shaver. Pilo No.2 has been equipped with a larger container that does not need to be emptied as often. The motors will start slowing down when too much fuzz is hindering the blades, which can happen quickly when you are shaving larger items. So, the larger container on Pilo No.2 can be a big plus if you want to avoid the hassle of frequently cleaning out the fuzz while shaving.

Design aspect

There are of course some obvious differences in the appearance and design of these two fabric shavers. Pilo No.2 has been designed with a unique, geometrical silhouette that allows it to stand upright in two different positions.
